Sad to say, Benzadmiral got off light compared to what could have happened, and this isn't meant to minimize what he has gone through so far.
In Virginia Beach, not too far from me, an illegal alien with multiple DUI convictions (plus one for identity theft) plowed into another car, killing two teen girls. City residents did not know that the city had a policy of not allowing the police to question the immigration status of an arrestee, or to inform the feds of busting an illegal. A big stink is brewing, and this has caught the attention of The O'Reilly Factor. Bill O'Reilly has said he is not going to let up on this, but is going to make an example of Virginia Beach over this issue. The city has had a load of cretins running its government for ages, so maybe their time has finally come.
The kicker is that this illegal apparently had a valid license despite his DUIs, even though Virginia passed some of the toughest DUI laws on paper in the nation, after a notorious fatal accident in Norfolk a few years ago caused by an intoxicated multiple DUI offender (but not an alien).
By the way, in corrections it was my experience that many Hispanics in the system spoke and understood English perfectly well, but pretended to speak only Spanish to confound correctional officers and others. I believe this happens a lot on the streets too—for example, when hitting another occupied vehicle. The woman's speaking "only" Spanish, or whatever other language, just might have been an act, Benzadmiral.

Nothing is wrong, right? celebrate those that come in through sewer pipes, right? Not that you or I couldnt do exactly the same damage and screw-ups, but last I checked, there wasnt much of a way for me to run and hide...
Maybe I wish I didnt care as much... maybe I wish I didnt realize that there are consequences for my actions. I could just be an accessory to this country running down the tubes like this guilty person that hit Benzadmiral. Wouldnt that be nice??? Some seem to think so

An illegal mexican hit and ran into a girlfriend of mine on her motorcycle. Did severe damage to it and her wrist. They caught him later, but had to let him go for a tiny bail amount, and was never seen again.

Although this covers some uninsured driver hitting you, it functions more to cover your vehicle in the event that some uninsured (or under insured) driver is operating it. The insurance is yours ..the only utility of anything else is for the vehicle itself (collision, risk factor, comprehensive, road service) ...and the event that someone else can drive it. You are insured in a tow motor/fork lift with no insurance and no registration ..or any other "vehicle" registered or not ...tagged or not...inspected or not.
...or so my agent explains...
