Watching a court case from 2022
The Uber driver claims that he can't see the perspective customers ride information like the distance of their trip etc.

The judge says that's not true.
The plaintiff informs her only top tier Uber drivers get that information in advance.

So which is true????

My first ever Uber ride was a 60+ miles and I remember the driver groaning when he picked me up...

Ha-ha. Just like the old medallion cab days when they'd ask you where you were going before unlocking the doors.
It was "illegal", but the drivers did it anyway.

Uber drivers can see the drop off location after they pick up the customer.

Yeah because he'll end up 60 miles outside the city and it's unlikely anyone will be there wanting a ride back any time soon, so he'll have to dead-head at his expense.

I had an Uber driver give me a 40 mile ride and gave him a $20 cash tip.

I know they were not too happy.

He got a great tip so he was happy at the end...

That is the question.
Is there a top tier level of Uber drivers that see that in advance?

You win some and lose some....right... we are about the same I gave $25 cash tip and the ride cost was over $80

Not from what I heard from some friends who did it temporarily (at 4.8 rating or higher) before and up to the middle of cv19.
