Highest miles on engine using 0w20 or 5w20

2015 Chrysler 200 with the 2.4l Multiair. She has 160k as of now and it has been handed down to my Son as his first car. Other than one run of Valvoline EP, it's been Pennzoil Platinum and Mobil 1 EP 0w20 up until now. Unlike a lot of 2.4's, no oil consumption between OCI's.
So far, so good.

2011 Ram 1500 with a 5.7l Hemi. She only has 80k, but 13 years on her. Mostly Pennzoil Platinum and Mobil 1 EP 5w20 with a couple of runs with Rotella Gas Truck 5w20 thrown in. So far, so good.

2011 Mazda 3 with a 2.0l. This is my daughter's car and she loves it. She has close to 160k on her after buying it with 39-40k on it. Since then she has seen nothing but Pennzoil Platinum or Mobil 1 EP 0w20. So far, so good.

I know it's a bit early, but our 2024 Mazda CX50 has just under 8300 miles and she has Mobil 1 EP 0w20 in the pan now. I changed the oil for the 1st time at 4,552 miles and we put around 3,665 on during our Southwest road trip from July 7th-July 18th. She saw a lot of consistent interstate speeds and high revving with some of the grades we climbed. The oil level remained consistent during the entire trip.
So far, so good.

;) 🍻

2008 Dodge Avenger. 352,000 miles. First 100k was with Amsoil. Second 100k was Pennzoil Ultra Platinum at 300k using Mobil 1 High Mileage. Uses 1 qt per 6000 miles. Oil changed at 6k mile intervals. Still driving daily 100 miles round trip to work. Start driving 145 miles round trip next month.. Hoping to get 2 more years out of the car...Always ow20 or 5w20

2011 Ford Fusion had 324,000mi on it before the transmission died. Ran anything that was 0-20 and I always ran 10k oci on it. Engine still ran amazing.

2011 Sonata had 215,000 on the original engine before that bit the dust due to the infamous Theta-ii manufacturing/design issue. 7500 mile ocis. 50k on the replacement engine ATM.

So, I have always used 5W-30 in pretty much everything (especially the Hyundai/Kia vehicles, learned that the hard way with the Rio (now using a 40 weight.)

However, so far, my wifes 2024 Mazda CX-5 has had two oil changes with Castrol Edge 0W-20. One at 2500 miles and the next at 6300 miles. She is almost at 10K (like 9,889 miles last night) and will change again this coming weekend (rain stopped me this weekend) with 0W-20 Pennzoil Platinum. Have 2 jugs of that and a jug of Quaker State Ultimate 0W-20. Setting OCI to 5K going forward.

Hopefully, I won't regret it.

You're lucky as in one a million if your vehicle reaches 500K+ miles using xW-20. No comparson to those vehicles that requires 10W-30/40 or above that reaches 1 million+ miles.

I assume my current Focus started with 5W20 but also I found quite a few receipts for 5W30. I think almost every mechanic who isn't at a dealership would recommend 5W30 instead of 5W20 and a customer would say yes.
My Dad's old F150 5.4 2 valve, recommended 5W20 too, but I think his mechanic converted him to 5w30, no real reason not too, and a potentially some issues avoided by using 5W30.
I run 0/5W30 now in the outback instead of dealership 0W20 as it was varnishing up in the engine.

Ford Transit Connect with 215k miles before I sold it still running great and not using hardly any oil. Lived on mostly frankenbrews of leftovers from my other cars and mostly 0w20.
