Improvements will mean different things to different companies. A few people that have been through our facility have seen data that shows differences in our products and others. When I make my choices I will look at the standard “cookbook” formula that will squeak you just into the approved category as well as the market solid performers as well as the products that have a good track record as the leader in that particular product group. With that data I know where I want to position my products. Where it ends for us is having products that are made from good materials such as PAO, Alkylated Naphthalenes, Esters, shear stable VI improvers, and using premium quality additives to get it done.
I am not one who has any interest in “my oil is better than your oil” or creating limitless bar charts or slamming competition. We live in a time that there are a lot of good choices in oils. At the end of the day as long as I make good choices in materials so our customers can rely on our products I have done my job right.
