high mileage oils

Has anyone here every seen any real benefit of using high mileage oils over the run of the mill 5w30 oils,like a leaky seal stopped leaking or my engine runs noticably smoother

For me, lower rate of consumption when compared to conventionals & synths in my high milage Volvo. I was using BC 5W40 over the summer. Even with the A3 rating, the car would consume 1qt in 5k mi. Went back to Maxlife 5w30 conventional(supplemented w/6oz.VSOT) and cut the consumption in half.

All I noticed was an excellent UOA in a newer car under severe service with it.
