HiFlofiltro Oil filters

Does anyone know what the thread is on a Hiflo-HF183 oil filter? I can't find that info anywhere.

My bikes take a open element type of filter(I can see the element). I've used the hiflo brand for many years. They always looked well made.

Well the PIAGGIO filter for the models listed in the thread you linked is a PIAGGIO(82635R). Searching that filter it appears to be a M14x1.5 thread.

I can't seem to find any filters with that thread(M14 X 1.5) Baldwin, Fleetguard or Wix, none that I can find.
I would like to get a better oil filter but so far no luck.

If I can't find a oil filter that I like to fit my wifes scoot, I think I'll try something like this to change the thread from M14 X 1.5 to something else.
All I have to do is get it made like this

Rod, I've used Hiflo filters for years on Burgman 650 and 400's and now on my Can Am Spyder for last 21K miles. They make some labeled K&N for some scooters if that gives you an idea of thier quality. I'd suggest you stick with them...that price of $13 for two is pretty reasonable.
