Hi Temp paint for exhaust?

Can this be used as a cheap alternative? Or it'll be useless:

Can anyone tell with experience if it can last for a year or so?

I painted the muffler on the old Acura with BBQ paint a number of years ago, it is still on in places but burned off fairly quickly in the center chamber of the muffler. It also smelled like burning paint for a while.

Of course I was less than meticulous with prep, so if you spend some time on it - it might work better....

Coming spring, I'll tackle this as a cheap upgrade and see what happens.
