Yeah, all those slobs that drool and subject others to their flatulences. Better to have them in the poorer neighborhoods where they belong. Naturally, there will either be a higher tax bill to "take up the slack" that's left in their vacuum ...err..and either programs or prisons to deal with their "lack of viability" in this brave new leaner and meaner nation.

ROTFLMAO!! OMG!!! The total lack of understanding of what happens when you either block the flow of a stream ..or break a d-a-m. No one appears to be able to see the flood or drought that happens on either side of such an action.

INCREDIBLE

Exactly..like it or not.the planet seems to be moving toward equilibrium: Places that have fewer people per square mile (U.S.) will be having more bc of legal and illegal immigration. People that have a higher standard of living will be moved back down.

Just is not going to be possible for us to live the good life much longer (on the average). It will go on as long as foreign governments continue fuel our expand debt. Enjoy those candy bars while you can..irregardless where they are made. :)

No problem whatsoever with that attitude....as long as you sensibly accept the mandated side effects of that equalization action. YOU TOO will/would be devaluated on a planetary scale. I would think that someone working at Chernobyl didn't have the bennies that you had at TMI ..nor your wages or pension. Their house wasn't as nice ..nor their car. Let's see what a Chinese nuke facility worker makes compared to Limerick, Peach Bottom, or TMI.

I guess many here would be subject to some "shock and awe" if they live long enough for the waterline to reach their lofty perch.

Didn't say I wanted it. And yes I realize I am part of the planet population.

Opps ..missed that part, Al.

My only point is (for the THAT'LL TEACH 'EM!!! screaming crowd) be careful what you wish for in punitive measures for the (alledged and assumed) crude and uncultured. Ask not for whom the bells tolls ..for (eventually) it tolls for thee.

There seems to be some "blame" going on here. But the complaints are more along the lines of the side effects of the desired corrective measures. Union labor is the reason for all our woes, so some would like us to believe ...yet the lack of a sound manufacturing base, which was dominated by union labor, paid most of the bills in terms of taxation. A SOLID middle class that OWES all of its benefits to matching the standards that organized labor established as common.

Now I hope anyone who thinks that they've finally kicked the pkhrap out of the low life dullards and baffoons enough are happy with the results of such noble and gentile management of a nation. How the rising costs are now borne upon FEWER GAINFUL workers and will continue to increase as more and more of our population gets "TAUGHT THE HARD KNOCKS LESSONS THAT THEY DESERVE".

Well, you'll learn a few too, if you're not dead too soon. I hope you learn it well indeed.

Extra protein and fiber in your diet at no extra charge. What more could you want?

The Food & Drug Administration's limit for insect fragments is less than 90 per sample. Rodent hair is limited to less than three per sample.

Bon appétit!
*chomp, chomp, crunch!?... chomp chomp...*

Whirlpool is moving a refrigerator line from Mexico back to Arkansas - and bringing 250+ direct manufacturing jobs with it.

(The workers on the lines here, however, may still be Mexican ...)

Don't know what the ripple employment will be for the smaller suppliers around here.

I saw Ghirardelli mentioned; I loved their Flicks candy when it was made. Apparently the original machine bit it (fire?) and they never bothered to re-create it or something to that effect. Many years ago the lettering was all caps- could have been a real problem if a certain portion was misprinted...

Made in USA too.

Indeed!

In a letter Target said: "We partner closely with our vendors to ensure all of our products are safe."

Which means, we buy from the absolute lowest bidder, don't give a flying flick where they are made nor have we bothered to find out that the factories are crawling with vermin, and we didn't count how many roach turds there are in OUR product.

Suppose you have two sides waging an economic war. One plays by the rules, while the other plays by more lenient rules. Which player will win, in the end?

He liked to write in capitals.

The player who grinds the insect content in his product to a more consumer-friendly size will probably win.

well not quite so.

Read an article in New Scientist about "traditional vegetarian" diets, such as the Eastern ones that are oft quoted as healthy.

Analysis of their food storage techniques showed that a significant amount of their protein intake was bugs that were feeding on their grain and flour stocks. Their "vegetarian" materials contained sometimes 5 to 10% insect material, adding EFAs protein etc.

At least they know the food is good to eat, if it's full of bugs. Someone from the Philippines told me the bugs that infest rice give it a bitter taste, so they reject it if they see too many in it.
