Bought a Heritage Rough Rider today for $109.99 from Dunham's. 6.5" barrel fixed sights black mother of pearl grip 22lr. Been eyeing these for a while and thought I would give it a go for that price.

First impression of it was OK. It is a low priced gun so wasn't expecting the best fit and finish. Few tiny scratches in the finish but nothing glaring and it will probably have more after my kids get to using it. Sharp edges on the cylinder fluting catch a rag when cleaning but not cut you sharp. Little bit difficult putting the cylinder in since I am new to single actions and probably the sharpness of every edge in the action.

Shot 50 rounds of Federal Black Pack 36 grain hollow point through it. All went bang. Not the easiest to aim being fixed sight and the single action style grip in my big hand but I managed. Doesn't help that my normal pistol targets are set out 15 to 20 yards and I was standing. More blast out of the cylinder gap and varied from chamber to chamber than I was expecting but not bad as long as you keep your hands where they should be. Lots of smoke up in your field of view when it is calm. Didn't notice this with my 10/22 or pistol with this ammo.

Overall not a bad shooting gun for the price. I will have to get used to the grip and shoot it from a rest to figure out where it shoots. I will be getting the 22wmr cylinder for it.

Got a set of feeler gauges? maybe measure each charge hole distance to forcing cone? not that you can do much now, nor will it really change things, but hey, why not measure?

I've thought about getting on a few times.

Cool.

For the price, which is dirt cheap, you cant go wrong really. Once it is broken in, I am sure it will be fine. Good thing about it is, you dont have to worry about it getting worn, CHOOT IT. Clean with brake clean, oil it up, and repeat. Nice find!

Shot another 100 rounds through it with no issue. Shot sitting while resting on my deck railing and think that it shoots low. I can ring my gongs with every round while standing with my 22A but this thing is hard to line up. Only made all 6 rounds hit the gong once. Gonna take more rounds to figure it out.

is there no rear sight?

Had some old Aguila Super Colibri I shot today. That stuff is a blast to shoot. Quiet and accurate. Only had about 30 rounds of it though.

The 12 year old shot it today also. He liked the Colibri but when we got into the Interceptor and Supermaximum Hyper Velocity he was amazed by the blast. Even standing behind and to the side of him I could feel the blast.

Got the free 22WMR cylinder last week. Just shot it today. How is it possible that 22 mag rounds are just as much fun as sub sonic rounds out of this thing?

When I bought mine in maybe 2012 or 2013, it came with both cylinders in the box. I'm actually kind of pleasantly surprised that they've mostly held the same price as a decade+ ago, especially if you can still get the second cylinder.

I learned my lesson way back about stockpiling rimfire(even though I rarely shoot it) but did appreciate that at least there was a time where 22WMR was a LOT easier to find than 22LR, even though it was also much more expensive.

I've not shot mine in years, and think I only shot 50 rounds out of the 22WMR cylinder, but remember it being a great shooting gun with either cylinder.
