My old eyes have a HECK of a time trying to apply Duragloss to a Silver or White vehicle. I just can't see it when applying a thin, even coat.

Are there any tips, tricks (perhaps a dye mixed in) that could help me see it?

Thanks for useful suggestions Gents.

You have better eyes then mine. Even when hazed, its hard to see on a light colored car.

More suggestions anyone?

Do you really need to see it?

I don't have Duragloss specifically, but I do use collinite IW (845), and that also does not really show up when applying it properly (thin that is). I feel like I'm oiling up the surface with this wax, and don't really "see" anything. If you are using an applicator and not just a paper towel, you can tell just by the drag when you need to put on more product to the applicator.

If you just go with a consistent waxing pattern, you don't really need to see anyway. Use long strokes (rather than circles)then go around the borders of the panel. If you think you will miss a spot, just resign yourself to do a 2nd coat going perpendicular to the first coat.

What is Aqua Wax?

It is another TopRated Duragloss product, it is a spray-on wax and can be used for periodic touch-up. It comes in spray bottle and is moderately expensive (as compared to other Duragloss products). I have personal experience with it and I like it quite a lot but I am trying find a cheaper alternative. I tend to run out the bottle quickly

I am sure you will love it. I think the number is 951 or 953. Ask you local parts store to order it for you if they don't stock it. Try it on your black motorcycle, you will be impressed.

Yes -- in the garage -- with (2) 250 watt bulbs in front, and 4x40w florescent in the rear. If you look at an angle, you can tell where it's been applied.

There's so little area on my motorcycle to wax, I don't mind using the 101 all the time.
