O.K. guys, need your advice (again....)
My wife's 2000 Grand Am GT (V-6) has 110,000 miles on it, and I'm trying to decide which oil to use:
Pennzoil Synthetic 5w30 ($5.19)
Valvoline MaxLife Synthetic 5w30 ($5.19)
Mobil Clean 7500 5w30 ($3.08)
It is just finishing up the rinse phase of another Auto-Rx treatment, and had been using GC for quite a while before that (at least two years). The engine doesn't burn, use, or leak any oil, and sees highway miles almost exclusively. I was very interested in the Synthetic MaxLife at first, but it is a little hard to find in my area, and seeing as how I could pay the same price for the Pennzoil (which I believe much closer to being a 'true' synthetic), I'm starting to think otherwise. Since it seems like the jury is still out on the new 0w30 Syntec, I decided to try something different. I like the fact that the Mobil blend is over $2 cheaper, and know that Mobil is a very good product. As a post script, I was planning on sticking to 5w30
