I have the same year and Ford model. That is good to go. Glad the dip stick is there but could they have made it more difficult to access, especially when car is hot and running.

Practice, Practice, Practice. Try reading a tranny stick on an 06' Camry. Or a 13' CRV. One side has some fluid, the other side is spotty. You're best bet is to just let it idle if checking while running....awhile.....Let the fans go off and on. Let the fluid settle down. May take 8 minutes or so. Then pull the stick. Shine it toward a light if it's really clean. Do that 3 times. If you get the same reading, you're good, or may need to add a bit more. DON'T OVERFILL IT !!!!! Practice, Practice, Practice. Use a clean rag too.

My niece has a dipstick like that on her Buick's motor oil . The cross hatches are cut both directions . REALLY difficult to see if the oil is clean .

They really do make some hard to read dipsticks....But, word around town is that their doing away with oil dipsticks too. Instead, their using the infotainment system to tell you how much oil is in the engine, like an airplane engine set up. So, basically, you change the oil. Add the required amount. Then go dig into the infotainment system and read how many quarts of oil are in the engine after you start and run it. Add more if it tells you too,,,then reset you're oil life while you're there. They already pretty much did away with tranny dipsticks. My problem with that is you can't physically see the oil anymore in case of a head gasket leak letting in coolant. Technology is getting a bit out of control now, I think anyway. I don't trust a computer that much. I think it's overkill. Just another marketing toy. I can barely figure out how to reset the oil life ! The manual for the car will be a CD disc to download. Too much info to stick in a book, and shove it in the glove box. It won't even fit inside !!!!

CDs are so 2005 lol. The manual for my wife's Volvo is accessible on the dashboard display. Almost any manual is available on line, there's where I look things up when I don't feel like walking out to the car to retrieve the hard copy from the glove box.

Yeah, I know their 2005, it was just an example. Had no idea they put the manual inside the dashboard display. My cars are 03 , 06, 13' . They don't even have a dashboard display. They have cassette and CD players in the radio's ! LOL. Don't have the $$$$ for newer cars. So, their still hangin onto the owners manual. Is it the size of Webster's Dictionary now ????
