Hello and let me point out some observations. I do not like anyone here or anywhere trying to make me believe what they say is the written word or the gospel. This is a oil forum/board so we all are entitled to our opinions. I dont think that someone should try to tell me that a filter I know that is made by WIX/PUROLATOR is made by someone else halfway around the world. I laugh when I read the total B.S. on here also so thanks for the laugh. Oh yeah, JUST KIDDING, had to vent a lil, and happy MAY MONTH to everyone starting tomorrow

The initial post was kinda like comparing the idiot in "STRIPES" OR Francis the psycho thing. I am not him trust me or the military wouldnt have taken me. Just lil worried bout my father still so bear with me. Tryin to be with him when I can, and now that I am a new uncle its hard, as he's so darn or (censored) stubborn it is tough. Picking my grandma Vasbinder or real dads mother up next thursday night in Brookville and taking her out to my brothers place Friday.

Could be being made by a contractor to Purolator half way around the world.

Exactly. Because the Purolator filter that fits my car states "Made in USA" does not mean ALL Purolator filters are!

The last WIX (a NAPA Gold) filter that I bought to change oil on my daughter's 1990 Olds Intrigue (formerly my vehicle) said "Made in Poland", clearly printed on the cartridge (not the filter box).

In today's world corporate structures, there's no thing as single-country sourcing. The next time you eat some honey or drink some orange juice or fill your gas tank or buy some furniture or purchase clothing, you can be assured that the product was sourced from multiple nations. Just check online, read the label, or check the contents.

Afaik, Purolator oil filters are made in the USA in Fayetteville. The thread posted on the oil filter board regarding 'Purolator/china' appears to refer specifically to a 'fuel' and an 'air' filter.
