Is Hein-Werner still in the business of making floor jacks, like the HW93652 3-Ton Floor Jack?

I can't seem to find the company on the internet, even if they are owned by Shinn Fu America. And if there are any of the 3-Ton jacks available online, they seem to be disappearing, too.

They were some on the best jacks back in the day. I've had such great luck with harbor freight pittsburgh aluminum 3 ton jacks.....Why spend more for a brand name that's made offshore anyway.

I think Gray still makes some hydraulic & air jacks in the US.....But they were never cheap!!

U.S. Jack also manufactures here....But I bought a cylinder from them for my engine hoist a couple years ago & it leaks down.

My new Costco Arcan jack died in one months, the swivel on lowering mechanism broke. Needed a replacement today, returned it today & bought a HF Daytona 3t long reach with the 15% coupon. Looked at the similar NAPA Carlyle, it was twice the price.

From what I see most people just buy the Harbor Freight Daytona and Pittsburgh floor jacks these days. I have 3 of the Daytona floor jacks they have been good so far.

Thanks folks. While I appreciate the feedback, I wanted to find out more about the Hein-Werner floor jacks, as they have a reputation for being professional-grade, high quality, and made in the USA. And if there were any issues, I feel it is more likely they would offer better support and service.

And so, before I switch off to something else, I am hoping someone might know if something happened to Hein-Werner or at least their floor jacks?? At the moment, I cannot tell if they are simply discontinuing their floor jacks, or if the company or brand is going out of business.

The Garage Journal Forum has BITOG-like OCD jack people that would be able to answer your questions.

The Shinn Fu America website seems to be down. Here is a link to their corporate website, but it is not very helpful either:

I haven't kept up with floor jack history the last 2 years, but U.S. made Hein Werner products have been disappearing the last 10 years or so. My 3-ton Hein Werner purchase 3 years ago says "assembled in the U.S.".

I'm fearful that the weak internet presence is indicative of another excellent company that is going down the tubes. I'm 69 and the idea of U.S. made with good product support is almost gone. Please share what you find out.

AFAIK, Hein Werner is still around. I believe they sell predominantly to industrial customers and military. The 2 and 3 ton floor jacks are “Assembled in us from us and global components” and the 4 and 10 ton jacks are made in USA. The distribution seems to be mostly from brick and mortar hydraulic repair shops acting as dealers. They rely on their dealers to deal with customers regarding sales, repair etc. I picked up a 93652 back in 2020 from this place: https://jackxchange.com/

And this is their HW catalog: https://img1.wsimg.com/blobby/go/ad7e7af7-0c76-4b1a-9d32-a7a5d69b067a/Hein Werner.pdf

Hein Werner is one of the Shinn Fu jack brands that also include Omega, Blackhawk, and Pro Lift. Pro-Lift is the brand name that gets advertised and sold to the DIY/automotive, so if you’re looking in amazon or automotive parts stores you’re likely to see Pro-Lift. The Pro-Lift jacks are not the same as HW though.

I've been using HF's jacks for years. Last year I bought one of the low-profile long reach Daytona jacks when it was on sale and I really like it. I recently bought one of the Badland off road jacks on sale and it will work well for where I live and use out in the gravel.

My two older Pittsburg jacks still work well after all of these years.

I have a HW 2 ton that I bought a few years ago. Well made, but very heavy and a little slow to pump up.

My car was featured in an auto parts store calender, so I won a gift certificate and bought the jack with it
