Head gaskets finally failed on my Subie

Now that my HG repair is complete, the car is easily good for another 100K miles. This doesn't bother me too much, I like the car, stuff happens, oh well.

Other items that were replaced, since the engine was out:

Water Pump
All engine gaskets, intake, valve covers
New Spark Plugs
I had a clutch put in it, since the old one had 130K miles on it, no labor since the motor was out.

yah, but HG is still a large expense, most mfg's have the engine part down pat..I'm surprised Subaru continues to struggle with it...the outback or '86' might work for me but not going to get involved with poor engineering 'issues' especially after my '88 Mitsu Starion...lol!

Any Subaru purchased during the past 6 years or so will be as reliable as any other car out there in this regard.

Most definitely not truth.

Huge volume of info is available, many only leak a bit externally but they still have HG issues for sure.

None in my driveway.
