Oh ..I hope that none of you expect some "restoration" of the American Way of Life. This is 100% damage control. The world doesn't have enough room for us to live this way.
Again, look at who comes out of it standing on top. Have they suffered as we are asked to suffer? Will they be poorer as we are told we're going to be poorer. If not, why not? Aren't they supposedly operating under the same wounded playing field as we are? Should not they bleed as we are told we must?

I don't buy Geithner's explanation. I am sure the IMF sent him W2-s where they showed that no moneys had been withheld. I haven't used TurboTax but I'm sure it asks how much tax has been withheld and nets it to see how much your refund or check to the IRS should be.
Another dishonesty was that when he got audited, he did not review the past years when he worked for the IMF but was beyond the statute of limitations for the IRS to audit.
I don't think someone who so blatantly avoids taxes and breaks the law should be the one to oversee the treasury or tax collection.

The President could have withdrawn the nomination, he didn't see the need to do it.
Not a snowballs chance in helll Tim Guithner uses Turbo Tax. If was in the Senate and heard that, I'd make sure I was on record laughing hysterically.

This ONE man was too big to fail. He was the ONLY one that could do the job so we had to ignore his past behaviour for the man that controls the welfare of the US economy as stated in the TARP legislation that he helped shape.
Nothing scary about that at all.
