I just had a good UOA on Pennzoil 5w30 in my Toyota 3.3L V6. 4k OCI and 5k total miles on the vehicle.

The Platinum stuff is in there now.

Pick one and run two 5k OCIs, then UOA the second batch and see how your Toyota likes your choice. In reality, either Pennzoil or Havoline will work fine.

Slick17601 is my hero.

Hey the penz. platinum is some very good engine lube, for the difference in price run this stuff over the regular penz.,,as it in itself is a excellent lube,,,the Havoline may have a edge over Penz. mineral ,but not much,,,now Schaeffers is ..well a notch better,,,,,,,,BL

Hard to beat Pennzoil. You can always find it everywhere. I would go with the Pennzoil. Surprised no one has mentioned the fact that if you care to keep up with your receipts Pennzoil will give you a 10yr/250000 mile warranty on engine, oil related failures if you change the oil every 4mos or 4000miles.

No matter which one you choose, do the changes at 5K or less to keep up the warranty. I am in the same boat as you with the new Tacoma.
