I recall that some of us bought this oil at a great discount last year from O'Reilly's.

Has anyone run it yet?

I'm sure it's fine, but in some random thread here I saw someone briefly mention that they used it and the engine became noticeably louder or had startup wear issues.

How would someone know they had "startup wear issues" from the oil?

Blew the engine on all three cars I tried it in. LOL!!!

1) its a major name brand
2) its a current API rating (SN) with a valid API donut and starburst
3) its the correct weight for my vehicle.

You meet these three and you will have zero problems for a daily driver. heavy towing is another matter all together.

VOA's state as much.

I have run it in my MILs 2012 GMC Acadia for 6k miles (Havoline ProDS 5w30 Dexos 1) a year ago.
Sounds and runs the same as it does on Mobil 1 .
I'll run it again next time she needs an oil change.
I have 10 qts of it still .

It is in my 1996 Mustang GT.

It is S.O.P./status quo -

of course, that 4.6 is happy on anything inthe sump short of melted bacon grease.

I actually just put that back in my Nissan Altima 3.5 VQ. I have always like Havoline Pro DS in my car. Runs nice and quiet from start up to fully heated up running. I wish I could find it around me like I used to be able to find it.

Thanks for the replies everyone.

As a fellow Hyundai own.....That problem will be coming to you very soon. Hyundai does so many things right, but one thing they can't do, is build s good motor. You can see this in almost every motor they build has been high on warranty replacement or in my case a silent high warranty replacement and hush hush about "the problem". Some motors make it , a lot don't.

I thought you had just changed your oil recently? Anyhoo, Havoline ProDS is a great choice if only I could find it. The VAS is running smooth in my engine so I’m happy.
