Do the math. $154 / 24 qt. = $6.42 / qt.

Sounds like a flim-flam to me. G&K

QSUD is actually a syn but yeah that's a terrible price.

WOW !!! 6qts for $15 !!! Must be a regional thing ??, Box doesn't show on wm.com or brickseek ??

NEVER have seen Havoline oil at any Oklahoma store, Let alone box oil lol

The WM service centers have been using boxed oil for the cars that they service for quite a few years.

My recycling rejects plastic oil bottles anyway. So in my case, it truly is 70% less plastic waste.

yeah, i'm with this guy ^^^^

one or two of you who said you recycle the 5qt jugs...i wonder if they're actually being accepted. the guys who pick up your recycle bin might take them, but i feel as though they get tossed in the trash once the jugs are at the recycle center. i've read numerous times that oil contaminated plastics are not acceptable. even plastic bottles that had cooking oil in them...so it's not just motor oil contamination.

Come to think of it, i don't recycle used plastic oil containers, i leave them at the auto parts store, usually AZone, where i dump the used oil. They have a place for the empty containers after you've dumped the oil.

Seeing the term glug free reminds me of Shannow calling the ubiquitous YouTube cold pour videos glug tests.
That really made me chuckle...I just picture a couple of guys in lab coats, one of them with a clipboard and the other calling out, "One glug...two glugs..."
And then comparing to the API glug standard to see if the oil passed.

Do you use 'tubs' for recycling ? We use bins just like the trash bins (flip-up lid, on wheels, etc) that are 75-95 gallon capacity and no one looks inside them. The collection truck has big grabber arms that wraps around the bin, lifts it 15' up, and dumps it in the truck. For "safety reasons", the driver doesn't even get out of the truck.

I think the bins are the older system. Our trash and recycle is just like hallstevenson described. The recycle stuff gets sorted at a central location and undesirable items get pulled and sent to the landfill.

Some places a) don't offer household recycling and b) require homeowners to separate metal, paper, cardboard, plastics, etc. Ours ? One bin and they separate it at their facility. At our old house this was the case as well.

It's only $5, but still a great price overall...

LOL! Gotta love (or hate) the fine print. Looks like they put a rebate ban on every place that sells it.

"Rebate not available for purchases made at: Advance Auto Parts, AutoZone, CARQUEST, Costco Wholesale, NAPA Auto Parts, O'Reilly Auto Parts, Pep Boys, Sam's Club or Walmart."
