I called the tech service line yesterday and they told me that conventional havoline 5/20, 5/30, and 10/30 SM/GF4 is blended with 490 ppm of moly. What is it's function at these levels? It must be more than a friction modifier.
I don't know why you think that since I've never been a strong advocate of Castrol products on here. But for the most part (and with the exception of Castrol Syntec) I think Castrol makes good oils. I'm currently using Castrol GTX HM in my mini-van, and will probably continue to since it seems to do well. I've used Pennzoil 5w20 in my Chrysler for over a year, and I briefly tried the German made Castrol 0w30 in it before that.quote:
