Have you ever felt an invisible presence

Reading this thread got me remembering one instance I'd forgotten. I was very young, probably 5 or so, living in the spooky old house I mentioned above, where others have had strange experiences.

I remember being half-asleep, I think with my mother in her bed, and seeing a tall skinny dark figure in a dark long coat, like a trench coat, wearing a top hat, standing in the corner of the bedroom. I could only see a dark outline in the unlighted room, as my eyes were only able to pick up the ambient light. It was a motionless figure. That was my experience. I asked my mother about it the next morning, and she brushed it off saying it was just the standing coat rack. It was an answer I accepted at that time, as a child. I'd forgotten about it until now.

The punchline, as I think back on it, there was no coat rack in that bedroom or that location, or anywhere in the house. We had a wall mounted coat rack, by the front door, nowhere near visible from the bedroom...

I'm rather creeped out by this suppressed memory, to be honest....

...As I and others have said here, energy cannot be destroyed, so when your life force energy terminates, it must go somewhere. It's highly plausible it goes into another dimension, spirit world, etc. I'm betting on the fact these do exist and we are simply unable to measure them.
I have pondered that question as well. What we do know is that information uses energy in order for it to be conveyed, such as the energy used for chemical transformations in the brain or through the energy to create electromagnetic waves for electronic communications.

However, information is one of those things that is only generated by intelligence emanating from the mind, and can only be deciphered by intelligence, so information itself cannot be energy.

You will know the answers when you leave your body. And if you don't, then you're just worm food with nothing beyond that, lol.

My MIL passed away this week so we're out here in CA and just had this discussion. Not long before she passed I smelled what I thought was cattle farms but wasn't quite it... but almost all the daughters. grand daughters and great grand daughters smelled the same but they said incense. Why me not sure.

Almost everyone that lives in our house felt a presence. I haven't for many years. In my first house I'd always hear feet dragging, it never went away.

After my sister passed I tried staying in her room and couldn't, it was eerie. On top of that we had Evan in there a couple nights and he'd get up and act like he was playing with someone. He did that in preschool and scared the teacher.

I do believe that sometimes energy or something is left behind. Whether or not it's imaginary no idea.

There is most definitely an afterlife that awaits some of us. I have bore witness to seeing, hearing, feeling and smelling a fair share of supernatural beings & events.

Don't wait until it's too late in life, to clean-up all our regrets of life. Never carry all that ugly stuff inside us day-to-day or year-to-year.
(Example) If you have wronged someone, fess-up to that person and ask for forgiveness. How we finish our lives is so much more important, than how we began our lives.

My wife's father was a smoker until the day he died . He smoked in his own home and didn't give a **** if anybody didn't like it . His kids and grandkids were always fighting with him about it to no avail . They put a pack of cigarettes in his jacket pocket at his funeral . Now , years later my wife will tell me that she catches a whiff of cigarette smoke in our home occasionaly . NO smokers in our family . She's convinced her Daddy came to visit .
