it'd be fine, it'd do NOTHING but lubricate the upper cylinders and the fuel pump bearings.

if you're looking to do a fuel system cleaning, lucas is NOT the product to use.
Use Redline's SI-1, Techron or Gumout (yellow bottle).

it's very hard to not read into lucas's awesome marketing campaigns, but lucas's product does almost as much as MMO does in fuel.

That's a strong statement. Proof?

a whole gallon? id say you would kill something.

that would be worse than putting a gallon of diesel in.

Whoa, whoa!

Lacquer thinner can be anything from 100% Toluene (okay) to a blend of Toluene/Methyl Ether Ketone etc, and a gallon (10%) of that could be detrimental

I've heard of people using Lacquer Thinner to "clean cats" - some youtube mechanic made a video of it and popularized it I think......and yea, I think he said 1 gallon thinner to a "half tank" of fuel......

Supposidely will clean up the cat, causing it to burn hot, and burn up whatever is messing it up....

That or it'll go "[censored]" and just kick the can, when it senses the thinner coming down the pipe

Back to the Lucas though.....that's funny the site says right on there, over-treatment will not "hurt".......so yea, I guess a whole gallon wouldn't hurt......but it is heavily oil based....so I could see it causing some problems......

Lucas fuel treatment contains pib which is known to improve fuel economy when not overdosed. So pouring a whole gallon in will constitute an overdose.
That's the only Lucas brand stuff worth buying. It actually works when used as directed.
