And say it meets VW508.00 specification. They should throw in some green dye and call it Amazon Lucky Shamrock Oil.

I order lots of motor oil and ATF from Amazon. Maybe 75 gallons a year. Probably >20% of it gets:Not only do you have a broken product. But now you also have to clean it up. Which, with how complex their warehouse facilities are, I can only imagine what leakers can do there.

It's a pretty high-loss scenario, especially for items like Rotella T5 that don't have a foil seal under the cap, which is usually not very tight. The worst is they toss a whole case, sideways, into overpack.
- Leak during shipment, oily box, return to sender. Refunded.
- Leak during shipment, delivered, identified by carrier as delivered damaged. Refunded.
- Delivered. Identified as damaged or leaky by me. Refunded.
Amazon is at fault most of the time.
everything screams generic and basic.
when I think of Amazon basics I think of paper clips not motor oil. lolWhen Amazon Basics oil debuted, the 5 qt. jug did not have a see-thru level indicator---the product manager never changed her own oil. lmao.
Which is interesting because all three are mega size retailers.amazon could not compete with Walmart and Costco pricing on supertech and Kirkland. Its the same product.
They probably saved 1/4 cent per bottle. When Amazon Basics oil debuted, the 5 qt. jug did not have a see-thru level indicator---the product manager never changed her own oil. lmao.
