These are the originals. Discontinued now that the G2 flavor are in wide release. In store only.

I can't find the original price, but the sign in-store said 40% off. I got a 3/8" drive flex head for $28.79, a 1/2" drive standard length for $28.79, and a 1/4" drive flex head for $22.79. A decent deal in my opinion.

I'm going to the new store in my hood this weekend. I need a long handle 3/8" flex head ratchet and the Icon should be perfect. Now, do I want the standard or the comfort grip...

I agree and I use ICON's and wish they had that feature. I have a few rachets with it and it makes life easier.

When pushed to the limits, the release feature can create a stress point in the mechanism. I've seen videos of quick release type ratchets breaking through the ball mechanism. That said, I don't push that hard, and I like quick release also.

So how many times has anyone used a 3/8 ratchet to over 125 ft pounds of force turning a bolt? It costs more to make a quick release, more parts, and more machining
