LOL, I'm a bit puzzled at the timing of changing tax laws over a holiday... I guess there is no "good" time to do it.

Where we are it would (normally) be dumb time of year to play with Fireworks. That's for Halloween.
Basically we BBQ and drink beer.

You *can* get some; but they're much, much smaller and they are only available (read: legal to sell) at certain times of the year. (Big Brother keeps us safe!)
