Had a death in my Electronics family (non-Human)

We have an echo, came free with something we bought a few years back.
It’s only used to play music for our dog when we go out. ALL others times it’s unplugged or the mic turned off. Mostly always unplugged.
I hate all associations with Amazon and NEVER use their devices but use Amazon to my advantage when purchasing a product, last resort but lowest price wins.

Constant monitoring? No thanks. They do that enough already without my voluntarily adding another major source of continuous monitoring.

What is the point of one of these? I’m genuinely curious.

You can just sit there and say hey “play this song, google this etc?

We use it to set alarms, lots of music, weather updates.
