Looking for a budget tire out of the 2 listed for my 2000 Camry. I’ve read mixed reviews about both (road noise being the issue with both) but wanted to hear from BITOG’ers that run these tires..
205/65r15 for my 2000 Camrynot a direct answer but I'd find a 3rd tire.
you have 15's or 16's?
IF I had to choose between those 2.. the kumhos.
Thanks slacktide!Either will be fine if all you need is an inexpensive tire
Your first name wouldn’t be Pat would it? Jk..If you're open to a suggestion on a "budget tire", you might take a look at the Milestar MS932 Sport. Some months ago helped my neighbor who is older also looking for budget tire, and she got a set for her Civic at Discount Tire. While it's early, so far pleased. A family member recently also got a set for a Rogue, replacing some Nankang, some company, TireCo brands.
Not familiar with either of title listed tires.
No spelled differently. Check out my edit last post as I wasn't sure what your budget for tires is.Your first name wouldn’t be Pat would it? Jk..
I’ll check out the Milestars. I know that they have raving reviews on some models over at Amazon. Thank you for the suggestion
Thank you for the heads up. I’m old enough to remember when Goodyear was America’s favorite tire..I'd probably choose the Kumho's. I've never had good experience with Goodyear as they age.
I live in a suburb of akron ohio. It hasnt been a favorite here for at least 30 years.Thank you for the heads up. I’m old enough to remember when Goodyear was America’s favorite tire..
205/65r15 for my 2000 Camry
For what it’s worth I spent about $1000’ish buying all new OEM Toyota suspension components (minus struts which are KYB). I do this to every user sub 20 yr old vehicle that I buy so that I may get the best ride quality while under my ownership.
How many miles so far?For what its worth I have the Kumho and so far so good. For the price they are hard t beat
Thank you! I ended up ordering Yokohama Avid Touring S’s last night from Simple Tire. Got all 4 shipped for $320 with a coupon.Couldn’t be happier with the LX Platinums on my Sonata.
Here’s my experience with the Milestars:
Tires for the Sonata
Well, I thought this Tupperware car ('07 Hyundai Sonata) would be fine with some cheapo tires. I was wrong. I bought it in October and it had some 7 year old GT Radials that other than poor traction in the rain, were fine. I wanted new tires to safely drive it in our heat and maybe out of town...bobistheoilguy.com
