Would adding a 20 oz bottle of Gumout Regane/All In One to a 20 gal gas tank be considered overdosing? (20 oz treats up to 35 gal's of fuel) The back label instructions states to pour in the entire contence into a near enpty tank and add between 18-35 galons of gas.

Does the use of a fuel conditioner affect a used oil analysis? If so in which way(s)?

If you have problem with fuel dilution then fuel additive may effect UOA a little, the main problem still is fuel dilution.

No, not every week, but every OCI.

I bet it would be safe if you dumped it in as little as 10 gals. And it would probably do a good job of cleaning, but I wouldn't recommend it. When you clean on the rail it probably is about that concentrated or more although it is only done for a short period of time. I think Gumout claims that the cleaner is tested to do no harm at the recommended dosage even if used at every tankful. Probably anything much more often than ever 3k miles is overkill for maintenance.

I think too much cleaner can damage the fuel system. I've heard that sometimes fuel companies added too much by mistake and damaged cars' fuel systems/injectors/fuel pumps.

I'm not sure but as far as I know All-in-one just adds a water remover.

I would trust that the company that made the stuff are experts and they say 18-35 gallons.

Yes, your quite right! I was being a bit cautious about using that much product when I wrote that statement and not thinking about the comments that might follow. I was waiting to see if there were more comments than not stating, ("No, don't use that strength") before I just dumped in the whole bottle.

I believe Regane All-in-one comes in a bigger bottle than the Regane or Regane High Mileage.

Same size bottle at the CT here. Just a different colour. All-in-one is darker amber than the urine yellow colour of the standard regane.

The different bottles were pre and post switch to the 2x concentrate (which they're all sold in now).

In my 01' Durango V-8 has a 25 gallon tank and I always add the entire bottle and forget it. I like the overdosing a bit to clean the top of the piston area.

My tank is only 13 gallons. I emptied the bottle, then drove it like I stole it. This is overdosing it a bit, but there was no detrimental effect observed. This 10 year old car was long over due for a good PEA cleaning.

For a future bi-annual maintenance dosage, I'll divide the bottle into two treatments where my tank is so small, and the initial "shock treatment" already really cleaned it out.
