I saw this gumout fuel injector cleaner at wal mart the other day. I was wondering if anyone had any experince with it and if it was safe to use. I was thinking of buying it but didn't know how good it was. I've also heard some good things about Valvolines Synpower Fuel Injector Cleaner. What do you think about these products?

If the product you are talking about is Gumout REGANE (comes in a clear bottle), then I don't think you can beat it. Very good product to use every 3,000 miles.
Now, if it is the Gumount in the white, silver, or gold bottle, then it's average.
The two best fuel additives you will find at Wal-Mart or the Gumout REGANE and the Chevron Techron.

My guess is that some idiots like to huff it and get high? I would imagine that it would cause dain bramage though so don't do it...

I expect this to change. More and more restrictions will be put in place in order for the public to buy some fairly common items. Meth is made of some nasty stuff, but it is a short list and almost all of the ingredients are relatively easy to get for now. Acetone and ether are examples.
It is amazing what some idiots will put in their bodies to get "high". So - the next time you get carded, you can thank a meth-head.....

phenol-propanol-2?? Not easy at all to get a hold of. I don't know how hard it is to make but as soon as anyone "orders" some ..there's a flag flying over their lab.
Ah-Hem.....Please notice I wrote 'almost all" of the ingredents are easy to get. Without getting into specifics sir, meth is NOT hard to make. About the only drawback is that the meth-heads sometimes blow their "lab" (and themselves) up.
Many of my friends in local law enforcement comment that the dopers here in Georgia can get everything they need very easily - and it is one of the biggest drug problems they face. From talking to them I know what goes into it, and I am amazed that people would actually put that noxious crap into their bodies...
