I know it's a silly question, but I'm suspending the cleanup before I damage things.

Somehow some gum got onto one of our leather car seats and I can't seem to remove it. Before I go out for removal round two I'd like to pose the question for some advice on what to use and how.

I'm sure the answer is simple and I probably am missing it due to some frustration, and I need a break.

Thanks for any ideas.

"1 Apply a quarter-sized dollop of olive oil to the paper towel.

2 Use a gentle, circular, rubbing motion to apply the olive oil to the gum spot.

3 Allow the oil to sit for a few minutes to soften the gum, and wipe the gummy area with clean paper towels.

4 Repeat steps 2 and 3 until the gum is gone"

From the above link.

Try an ice cube, rub over the gum for a minute or so it hardens the gum loosens the adhesive effect and can be scratched off with a fingernail, only drawback is a little water in the seat, just wipe with a dry paper towel and your done.Worked for me in the same situation.
