I need to replace my old worn out weber genesis and looking to buy a new grill. It caught on fire and even though I caught it on time, the bottom of the grill is warped. Some grease got caught and started on fire, even thought I clean it out regularly.

It seems Napoleon is becoming very popular due to their limited lifetime warranty. Does anyone have a Napoleon?

I'm debating between Weber Genesis 335 vs Napoleon Prestige 500.

Neighbor has a Napoleon, it's a big one though, I think it has six burners just under the grates plus a side burner and it's a tank, well built.

That Genesis only has 3 burners, I wouldn't go less than four burners under the grates.

Between those two I would go with the Napoleon.

My Weber is 6 years old, has been on fire a couple of times, no damage. I've replaced flame spreaders, and burners one or twice..all free parts.
Mine's a small one though, 2 burner with a side burner. Gotta make sure we can cook outside during a rare power disruption! :(

It is starting to show its age though. The base is beginning to rust and the paint down there bubble, not enough to hurt its performance though.

I had a Napoleon Prestige II for 16 yrs and it was an outstanding grill, IMO better than Weber, but we're talking about 2 great products, you can't go wrongg with either one.
