I just put new Gabriel Ultra shocks on my new to me 98 Ford Ranger pickup that has 210,000 miles on it. The shocks I took off were original Motorcraft so the new ones made a huge differance.
I bought the shocks at Autozone on line. Regular price was $40 each plus tax bringing the price to about $176 at our 9% tax rate if I had bought them at the store.
I got 20% off and free shipping to have them shipped to my house.
Also there is a 15% rebate on them from Gabriel till April 30th.
So that brought them down to $30 each or $120 total after rebate. It saved me about $56 or more than on shock for free.
Took me two hours to put them on using a lift.
P.S The rebate is 15% for up $200 worth of shocks. 20% for $200 to $300. Over $300 is 25%. Max rebate is $125.
