Used the final 2 Gallons of VWB 5w20 Conventional from Amazon special
Used the final 2 Gallons of Valvoline SynPower, synthetic, 5w30 from the Advance Auto computer glitch on $40 off $100 for oil.
Made a mix of 50/50 of Valvoline Synthetic and Conventional for 4 oil changes today.
Total used 16 quarts.
New Total Forward 30,082 Quarts.

I bought a single bottle of Pennzoil 40W SN the other day, to thicken up some Mobil 1 0W-30 I might want to use as part of an oil change prior to my summertime visit to Palm Springs.
I drive an elderly friend there to visit her sister who is in a rest home there. This time of year that town's weather is hotter than CENSORED. The high today there is 110 Fahrenheit, and the summer has just begun. The town is semi-deserted in summer.
I was surprised to find this heavy SN in the store these days. It seems an anomaly.

shoot I thought my 15 quarts of nextgen was alot. Wow! You buy to much oil and we will be on the next certification before then.
Used 8 quarts to do oil change for E430.

+1.... Thats right! My stash is 1/2 qt. of M1 0-20. That's all I will need. Although as time draws near for another OC I start looking at the adds for specials or just buy the 5 Qt. jug at WM.

I buy what is a "Great Deal" on oil when I find the deals. Since, I've been doing some Oil changes for Family, Friends and Neighbors....I don't wait until the last minute to buy oil. I look for closeout specials, markdowns and great sales and store what I can.
Thanks to a poster on BITOG.....I recently picked up 3 Cases of Valvoline WB, 5W-20 on a Amazon/Valvoline deal. 4 Gallons per case of VWB for $21 a case, before the rebate and Free Shipping. I have one case left and I'll be mixing it in the future with another Valvoline product....most likely Durablend or Valvoline Super Blue Diesel Dino....if I find it on sale.
So, it's all relative to your situation if you buy at the last minute or take advantage of sales, computer glitches, errors by retailers or closeouts.
In my case....I look for sales or the generosity of other BITOG members letting us know about specials, closeouts and sales.
