That design with the “extra” plate on top is also used for some other brand names, but yes, that factory is kicking out a totally different design from the rest of their line.
The one pic ecore (2867) with black nitrile adbv, no bueno for me on a premium touted filter. Others look ok, ecore tube doesn't bother me as long as separate bypass. However, looking at what I can see of the media I'm curious if it's '100%' full synthetic. The wording "synthetic oil filter" a bit vague, imo.
The 2840 yup. The other two look Ecores.
What are the date codes?
I was at AutoZone and was looking at filters, just like these they were all built differently.
The baseplate has nothing to do with ecore.
That is a louvered steel center tube, not an Ecore nylon cage center tube.
It is a typical Champ labs base plate with the extra guard to ease starting the threads.
2 of them are. 1 is not.
