So I never bother to change my address on my license each time I move so I figured I'd get a ticket for that. I was driving and didn't see the red flashing lights at a small intersection, but did see the cop sitting there, which is probably why i messed the lights. I've never been pulled over in my life and I'm pretty sure I met the coolest cop ever. Not sure if it was cause it was the holidays or cause I was honest with him and didn't argue. I couldn't even find my insurance. I still can't believe I didn't get a ticket. Lol Maybe things are looking up for the new year. If I was in my hometown city I would have been SOL cause they roll out 5 cop cars for anything.

Here they just ticket you without any discussion. There is no chance of getting a break, they are 100% going to give you a ticket for no proof of insurance.

There's no reason to even speak other then answering their questions.

It's Xmas eve and you're not drunk. So you got a pass, they're looking for drunks.

Might want to get your paperwork in order if it'll cut your paranoia.

The insurance was in the console instead of the glove box. I moved it for some reason. He can see I have insurance by looking at the drivers license I'm pretty sure.

That's what He said. He was like look man do you have any warrants or drugs in the truck? No sir then he was like okay let me run your license and we will be done. Lol I was like sweet!

I worry more about my insurance sky rocketing. Thays where it really costs you money. Nevermind a $200 ticket.

Same here plus the ghetto bird will be circling you and the 5 cops.

Good for you! Tickets can be a pain. I have only had one in the last 40 years. That was for speeding when my Speedometer was way off.

I got a ticket last month doing 29 in a 25. The road goes from 55 to 25 with one little 25mph ahead sign. It's the local little town speed trap and I guess how the fund city hall. Of all the vehicles I have, I got it in the little transit connect, stupid thing is so under powered it can barely get out of it's own way lol

FYI, Texas will accepted electronic proof such as a insurance app on your phone. That's what I do as backup. It is also tied to your tag when they run it. Most of the time, they don't even ask for insurance.

I would have found it eventually. I just have more patience than most people apparently.

Ouch! Here in Texas, I don't think that's even in the penalty schedule. Lowest is "greater than 10% over the posted limit."

For a guy that seems to have a dark cloud following him wherever he goes, I'd get 100% legal if I were you. Stop screwing around and get your s together.

2019 will be they year when you take full responsibility for yourself.

Sorry, tough love and all that...

Merry Christmas, bro. Happy New Year

Indeed. There is +/-2 mph in NJ last time I went to court. Which was a long time ago.

I gave the car some beans today. Figured I could possibly catch a break due to the holiday lol. Need a Santa hat for next year.

I've done pretty good so far only pulled over once in 15 years of driving. As far as everything else being a pain in the [censored] all the time, well I don't know what to do about that.

I lived in Texas for 10 years and I had a buddy who was a paid Santa impersonator. One year, on December 24th or 25th, he was speeding and a cop pulls him over. He happened to be going to his Santa gig and was dressed for the part.
The police officer walks up to the window, takes one look at him and says: "Oh, Geesh! Get the h3ll out of here!"
No argument from him.

I don't think the cop would hear the end of it if that ended up in court. Lol
