Got another Challenger

Number one theft security system in the USA !
I brought my GLI (manual) to my PDR guy this past week to get a couple of dings pulled, and couldn't get back to get it until later in the day. Told him to just leave the key in the cupholder and I'd be back later. Zero concerns :)

My concern would be somebody who doesn’t know how to drive it but tries and there goes your clutch

Many years ago I was working out of town and went to lunch at a local restaurant. Over at a nearby table were several techs from the local Mazda dealership. One tech was proud of the fact that he told a new tech who didn’t know how to drive a manual to, “Take that RX-8 which just finished its pre-delivery inspection and practice driving stick on it for about thirty minutes.”

My daughter boyfriend just got one on trade. Older person owned and stored winters. Really considered trading my Jeep on it, but I like my low insurance rates and I’d like to keep my license.

My wife knew what I was thinking and said NO.

Nice looking car!

I'm reminded every day just how lucky I am. My wife enjoys our cars and bikes just as much as me.

I’m choosing to live in peace…
It's a thing. I have bought just about whatever I wanted for many years but when I bought an old Porsche without telling my Wife she was not as enthusiastic as I was. In her defense, working on it took a lot of time away from the family. Not to mention the purchase price and parts prices.

You sound like me (although my wife isn’t quite as enthusiastic about my Speed Triple 900). It once again brings to mind this story from automotive industry legend Bob Lutz:

"A guy marries his longtime girlfriend. Shortly after marriage, she finds him in the garage cleaning his beloved Jaguar E-type and says: 'Now that we're married, I think you should sell that thing and get something more sensible.'
Long pause. Then he says: 'You know, for a minute there, you sounded just like my ex-wife!'
She: 'I didn't know you were married before!'
Says he, quietly 'I wasn't.’”

In 2008 I bid on a 1975 2002 on eBay never thinking I would win it, but I did. Alls well that ends well, it ended up being my son’s first car.

Those appreciated pretty well. I did not lose anything on the sale of my car other than my mind. Way too many terrible drivers on the roads these days. I also could not take the whole family out for a spin in it. I used the proceeds to buy a boat after talking to my Wife about it. I have bought countless guns without her knowledge or care though.

Congrats, love those Challengers! I would bet that if they had kept selling those instead of the new ones, they would sell much better. Granted it needed some updating, but they are well-loved for a reason. Really enjoyed my old '15 Scat Pack, fun car.
