Gortex Vacuum filters for engine air filter??

I have Craftsman and Rigid Shop-vacs that I installed Gortex CleanStream filters in. I have found that they are much more efficient than paper filters in maintaining flow, stop much smaller particles and are easier to clean.
I have noticed that when cleaning ash from my stove there is no dust discharged from the exhaust unlike regular paper filters.
According to their data they are 99.97 percent efficient at 0.3 microns. (1 micron is 60 times smaller than the diameter of a human hair.)
Having said that what are your thoughts on installing one on a vehicle, car, and truck tractor??

Forget that, I have to have a look for my shop vac!

Interesting concept, but you may want to think about pressure drop and restriction, and it's effect upon efficiency.

There are several super efficient and non restrictive filters on the market, one being the PowerCore, especially when equipped with its turbine prefilters.
