GOOLOO GP4000 Jump Pack 43% off on Amazon

IDK, with a brand name like GOOLOO I think I'll stay away.

Seriously, Chinese marketing is just too weird. I know they are trying to get non-trademarked names fast, but GOOLOO???

Is there goo in the loo? Make sense for a toilet brush or power washer, but electronics? lol nope.

The name is weird; however, GOOLOO Li-Ion jump packs are amongst the highest rated units across the board by several reviewers/test organizations...including everyone's favorite (PF). :ROFLMAO: Several BITOG members report favorable performance with GOOLOO jump packs, including myself.

Exactly. Gooloo has been around a few years and I have some experience with less than new units. Pow in the name seems weird for an high power electronic device.

Nobody that I have jump started with mine has commented on the name.
They have some strange names - but my little box took an F250 POW - and surely helped me with mowers and gens …

My buddy has the GOOLOO charger/maintainer and it works great for years. Sometimes - people just like to talk bad about things are made in china.

I'm not knocking them for their quality, if Todd from PF and BITOG consensus says its a winner, it very likely is.

It's just the names are so weird.

"The article discusses the rise of nonsensical brand names such as "PUKEMARK, BSTOEM, ZGGCD, and SHSTFD" used by mostly Chinese sellers on Amazon. These names streamline trademark registration, allowing vendors to access Amazon's Brand Registry, tools, and protections quickly without needing established branding or consumer recognition."

Right. But this is kind of like, judging it by the book’s cover.

Indeed, we all judge people based on appearance, books by their covers, people if they drive a Nissan Altima... it's human nature.

When you have Black and Decker, Bob's Jump Starters, and GooLoo, I'll probably NOT pick the GooLoo unless there is a lot of supportign reasons to do so.

I think I'll start a marketing company in China now. I'll let you guys know how it goes.

Still, not of it reaches the irony of a Minnesota "Quality Learing Center"

Also the ecowlboy stuff on Amazon is kinda weird. I guess cowl is an automotive term, but doesn't exactly conjure thoughts of power, excitement, reliability etc

Anyway if you read Amazon reviews and Reddit stuff, Gooloo absolutely suffers a fair bit of premature failures, as expected. Overall they seem like the lesser of the evils but they're not the pinnacle of quality

The random brand name scene means that if your SHTF brand blender is junk, you might still buy the FUBAR brand mixer and the AWOL brand cheese slicer made in the same china factory and sold by the same importer. Brand names once meant something. Now, lack of brand is the equivalent of having lots of little LLCs.

It had tested well on PF.

I find the brand names rather fitting. In a few years, the internal battery always turns into GOO, puffs up and goes SUPERPOW! Full disclosure... I bought this SUPERPOW several years ago. It worked well for a while, then started losing capacity jumping from 100% to 40% after a full charge, then refused to power on altogether, then began to puff up until the plastic case completely separated on its own.

I'm still running Callahan pads and rotors on my '07 F150 and some of their calipers, too. To your point, it's all PowerStop stuff with a lower price.

And yeah, I know Chris Farley blah blah hah hah. But there really are Callahan brake parts and they're fit for the purpose

I had a great run with Callahan disks and PS pads on ‘10 GMC … better stopping and ended the OEM rusting …

My gooloo was purchased in 2020 and hasn’t puffed up and still holds a charge.
