I needed a bigger battery charger than my current largest Noco 5amp.
I previously owned the pro-logix 20amp model.. but after 5 years or so and a couple drops it randomly died on me.

I would have preferred a replacement 20amp but this 10amp pro-logix with 10amp power supply mode will be fine..

$64.21@amazon.

If anyone needs the 20amp model... It is not on actual sale, but the retail price has been lowered to aprox $100 which IMO is a decent buy for 2025.
I paid 65$ for the older version 20amp charger in 2015

I got the 20 amp version to use as a power supply when flashing
Very good charger 👍
I use a shop that does custom tunes for BMWs and Mercedes. They have power supplies, and they are over 100 amps.
Be sure to check the car manufacturer recommendations for your car. I believe they said BMW requires a minimum of 70 or 80 amps when performing coding or flashing.

Granted if your battery is fully charged, and in good condition, you may get away with a 20 amp power supply for a short coding stint. But larger will eliminate all risk. There is lots of info online about power supplies and I learned 20amps really isn't going to cut it, unless it is a short session.

Fair point, for more serious (European mainly) vehicles 20 amps is not enough

Adding a keyfob with FORScan, or reflashing the PCM in a 12 year old Ford, it's good enough 🤔

I wish I had bought this 3 months ago! It is currently $85. My 20A PL2320 died a week ago, after 5 years of light duty. My 10 year old Ctek 7A 7002 charger is still functional, except for an excessive float voltage of 13.9V. I can wait for the price to drop down to $65 again for the PL2310. My Optimate 7A charger still works well.

My 2 month old PL2310 has gone haywire today (with a frenetic relay), and is being returned to Amazon for an exchange. I am losing some confidence in Pro-Logix/Clore chargers. Amazon offered me a $16 refund if I kept it, and dealt directly with Clore for a warranty exchange, but I turned it down. Tomorrow is my last day for a free return to Amazon.

It is currently available for $68, after coupon use.

I had a 20amp.. it lasted about 5 years with light use.. so far its replacement this 10 amp has only seen very light use. If it doesn't last at least 10 years I'm moving on.. of course in 10 years the chargers will likely be made different 🥴

The 10amp power supply mode is a nice feature although the one use I could see needing 20amp for.

I have a big Schumacher charger that lasted a couple years until a stink bug decided to hibernate under the circuit board. I figured they would sell me a new board and I could keep right on using it. Unfortunately that isn't the case. It's disposable just like everything else nowadays and they will not sell parts. This summer it's going to have to go in the trash.

I like this 10a as it has 2,6,10.
I have the older 20 which has 2,10,20.

Thing has paid for itself with the multitude of batteries it has brought back from the dead.

I have a deltran battery tender 4.25amp, and a noco 5amp.

This just fits the niche of 10amp+ I'd rather a 20a but they were double $$ when I got this one.
I have a 1800w inverter gen, that I can charge up some tractor batteries down at my cabin with etc.
so 5amp is slow.
Would like something that could be done bulk charging in 4-5 hours while I'm working etc.

The 10A is a decent deal.

Most of the time, batteries don’t continue to pull 20A off of these chargers for sustained times. Either by charger logic design or battery condition.

Coding is another beast. I’ve heard this 70A recommendation, but not sure what drives it. The coding I’ve had done has always been ok with much less or nothing. Maybe if you’re recoding the whole ecu and modules and doing tests of all electrically driven stuff without the engine on…
