100% of the search results carry this warning at the moment; even results that point to other Google sites.

Their malware filtering must be buggered.

EDIT: I think it's fixed now... I think Google was waiting for me to drag my wife downstairs to show her before fixing anything.

Yesterday I googled something and the third site listed had my search string as a heading followed by a random string of letters.

I clicked it and it went to a porn site and it tried to d/l something. I killed the link real quick. Haven't tried google since. Looks like they have been seriously hacked.

Could you imagine the disappointment of someone trying to go to a porn sight and ending up on BITOG.

Could you imagine the disappointment of someone trying to go to a porn site and ending up on BITOG.

And they see photos of oil filler ports and valve covers!

Slightly off topic, and reversed; on (Gnome based) Linux based systems the main photo editor is called The GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program). It's the closest thing to Photoshop for Linux out there... So anyhow, on the support forums there was a person trying to figure out how to superimpose a mask on top of an image, so that the image was only visible in the shape of the mask, so he Googled "gimp mask" and ended up in a whole new world.

About six months ago I was looking for some dishwasher parts (by part number). I had that happen to me twice. The search result looked relevent, but was redirected "elsewhere". I noticed both times the new site had the same domain name, so I put in my routers filter. Its never happened again.

A friend of mine who's ~30 years old (he looks like he's about 12) was shopping for a new car a few years ago. Because he's less than 5" tall and his legs don't function normally, manual transmission vehicles aren't really accessible to him. He really wanted an S2000 with a stick and thought that perhaps he could get some kind of pedal linkage mechanism that would let him operate the pedals.

So he Googles something like, "midget pedals clutch..." He got nothing but porn sites.
