I'd turn it into a goodyear bashing thread before a wally bashing thread, but that's me.
My Brother finally took his Volt to the local discount tire to replace the out of round Goodyear Assurance....something or other...that it left the factory with. there was a vibration he'd been chasing since he bought it last year. there was a bent rim, he bought another.
not as bad, but still there.
when he put the snows on it , smooth as silk, no vibration. back to the goodyears, back to the vibration.
took it to discount, they checked all 4 rims, (all nice and round), did their best to rebalance the tires, basically all 4 were out of round, one bad enough they couldn't really compensate for it.
he went on price, got a set of GT Champiro..somethings, about $50/ea. so far, so smooth. (full disclosure he did have to go back once, something was bouncing around inside the right rear... when they put the new valve stem into the TPMS, they had used the wrong stem, and the sensor had fallen off, and was bouncing around inside. they put it back together with the right parts, and it still works!)
