Quite a mouthful, eh? Our runabout 2006 Kia Spectra was in need of new tires on its summer wheels, and being as we live in Wisconsin where the weather can be... unpredictable, I decided to take a leap of faith and try out one of the new "All-Weather" offerings from a secondary manufacturer.

Lexani tires are produced by Sentury Tire, and their Moroccan plant where my particular tires were produced is just over a year old. The Quattro Tempo comes with a 70k mile treadwear warranty, asymmetrical tread, and a 600AA UTQG rating so I should be able to run these tires right up to the 7-ish year mark when they'll start to age out. Most of the mileage this car sees is during the winter, when it wears a set of dedicated Toyo snow tires, so these new hoops might only see 2-3k miles per season as my Cadillac sees the most use when the weather is nice.

I'll hopefully get the Lexani's mounted in the next week or two and report back with my initial impressions. I know the big question is always "What did you pay?", so here's the breakdown: set of 4 delivered to my door was $227.12, and I ended up applying and being approved for the Walmart OnePay credit card which was offering a $35 bonus credit on your first purchase over $75 plus 3% back. Total net for the set of four came out to $185.31, or $46.33/per. Seemed like a heckuva deal in today's economy. Final perk: the tires are all dated 0126, so they're a nice fresh batch.

Nice! I hope you get many enjoyable miles out of them :)

0126 is not a year old. They're 3 months old (first week of 2026)
Correct, hence my reference to them being fresh. The year old comment was in reference to the factory they're produced in, not the tires themselves. I probably could have clarified that better :ROFLMAO:

oops I misread it, sorry

Yeah, it is a surprise they'd come from Morocco and not the more common Thailand or Vietnam

I see Michelin-style zig-zag sipes on them. If they are full-depth, that’s a first for a “budget” tire.

I thought Lexani was made by Nexen?

Wanted to give a quick 500 mile update on the Lexani's: they're fantastic! The ride quality is excellent, they're extremely quiet, and the handling confidence is top-notch.

Anyone looking for a budget tire should definitely check these out. I checked pricing on a few popular sizes and found the following:

205/55R16 - $67.00/ea

215/55R17 - $81.94/ea

225/65R17 - $92.82/ea

225/60R18 - $95.08/ea

265/50R20 - $137.84/ea
