Finished installing the EAA, Reprog kit, ATF, and the gear oil. Awesome. Thats what the transgo kit feels like. Its a little firmer than stock at part throttle, but at full throttle its awesome. Nice and firm, but not harsh
Its also on a ARX clean phase with Supertech 10W30 and Bosch PH8A size filter (3500). Currently 1000 miles to go.

Drop the pan, the filter and the valve body, which isnt hard. one electrical connector, 6 bolts and the VB is free. Then you take the accumulator cover off the side of the VB and replace some springs, the Low/Reverse valve, and some seals on the accumulator pistons themselves. Bolt on the new accumulator cover (it comes with a thicker one to handle the new springs), and the VB is done. Optionally you can solder a resistor into the wiring for the pressure switch to convince the TCM to use more pressure. I decided to do that. The also comes with a few pieces you use only if you are rebuilding the trans and have it apart.

After putting a quart of the amsoil ATF into a empty Valvo ATF+4 Container, I used up the rest of it flushing out the PS while my dads friend told my dad the PS pump would be dead in 2 days from using ATF, regardless of the fact ATF+4 is what came out.

It seems to have quieted the pump significantly. It was so loud before it would overcome the engine noise at low throttle.

Well, good news. Original PS pump is still going strong on Amsoil ATF.

Also, I thought she was crazy, but my step-mom was telling me the trans felt smoother after the transgo and ATF. I couldnt figure it out until I rode with her one day, and she is right. It shifts so quick you cannot feel most shifts at low throttle. It used to be smooth because it took a second and a half to complete a shift. Im sitting watching the tach because thats the only way you can tell if you have the radio up over the engine, and it was just snapping down real quick when it shifted. I was impressed and glad I installed it, and kinda wish I took pics, but I was trying to make sure it was rolling the next day. Only problem was a intermittent super hard 2-3 that I believe was the computer learning HOT pressure settings since it only happened for a few miles after it heat soaked. I believe it has been learned out since I have not heard about it for awhile.
Just got in 13qts Amsoil ASM 0W20 and 2 EaO15. Enough for 2 changes. Any suggestions on how long to run it? haha. Itll go in after this ARX rinse cycle is complete in 1500 miles. Which, will be in about 3 weeks. Maybe less.

Do you have the 545FRE trans in that truck? I have a 45FRE in my Jeep and have been considering a shift kit after the warranty is out. How long did it take you?

There is picture How to on the web that I found, it doesn't look too bad.

yeah. 545RFE. It is the same thing as the 45RFE except with different programming. Took about 7 hours. Including running to radio shack to get some solder because I could not find my old roll, which of course showed up a week later. Oh, and the transmission connector kicked my [censored] for about an hour before I figured out what I was doing to it was indeed how it was released.

Just didnt want to break it. If you decide to do it and you want help let me know.

Thanks for the info. I've never had a tranny apart before (short of the pan) so I'm a little leery on this, but it is tempting.
