Wow, fellow really cant take a joke. If your panties are wadded so tight that you feel you need to leave, just go. "Outing" the person who [censored] you off in a different thread under the guise of closing you acct means beans to the rest of us.

Now he is will patiently wait for the thread about me insinuating that you wear womens underwear.

Wow....butt hurt or what. Who cares if people are busting your balls. There is great info here and great guys who like to educate others. Gonna let a couple guys make you cry n go home. Bye then

There's always gonna be these communication issues in forums... Sometimes people don't type exactly how they mean, sometimes words can be misunderstood, depending on various emotions going on with anyone posting or reading.

A lot of forums use, among other things, the number of user accounts they have to negotiate rates with advertisers. Not allowing folks to delete their own accounts can help pad that number as time passes. Also, sometimes these types of sites do not keep their users' information (or at least their user list) entirely private (meaning they show up in Google searches or, worse, are sold to others).

I can see someone who is disgruntled wanting neither to be a number that pads a web site's numbers (and profits) nor to be associated with the site by being listed as a member forever and ever and ever... I do not recall another forum I belong to that doesn't allow a user to delete their own account; and the fact that I cannot here if I ever choose to makes me feel not-entirely-good.
 
Take a step back and reflect on what's more important in life;
BITOG is about a lot more than motor oil, it's a community. As a microcosm of the world at large, you'll find all types of people on here, good and bad. What draws me to BITOG is the good, because it's an overwhelming good.

one of two things will happen. the OP will be on a rooftop, with a scoped rifle, wearing a dress, shooting at passersby. or -- he will be found in a closet, in the fetal position, with about 30 cats wandering around in his house.

to the OP -- the above is to make a point --if you can't deal with bitogers calling you OCD, then you'll have a difficult time dealing with reality, as bitog is a pretty tame board.
fire one up, and mellow out, and things might be different in the morning.have a good night,man.
 
All you have to do is quit posting/reading and you'll fade into oblivion.

I do not sell or give any information concerning the members. I value my privacy and I know each of you do. If I delete a members there would be post with anonymous instead of a name. I want to know who posted the information before I decide if I want to follow their advice. If the member decides to post again they want their original post count. BITOG is a family not just a numbers game. uc50ic4more I hope this answers your concerns about your account.

If you want lube info, good luck going elsewhere...it's a wasteland out there. I have 10x the frustration working on other sites oil questions than I have at BitOG.

At one time, we all made up made a list of oil fallasies, about 5-6 years ago. Well, at other sites they still believe this junk and the membership is committed to NOT changing their minds.

Helen and the staff here DO care, quite unlike other sites.
