car has no leak or burn oils. my dad been own it for last 5 year and he been going to car shop for oil change with 10w/30 castrol dino, he pass this car to my lil bro, I change the oil with 10w/30 maxlife with motorcraft filter, its been 4-5 month now, and I just check the oils its very dark color and low haft quart. Should I continue using this oils or any other oils is recomment ? mostly use for very short trip, stop and go , that all thanks.

10w30 Maxlife and the Motorcraft are fine choices, just gotta watch those headgaskets and transmissions for signs of weakness.

does this have the 3.0 or the 3.8?

either way i'd stick with maxlife, some oil consumption is normal, a half a quart in 6 months isn't bad at all.

since its short trips i'd keep the oci at 3k to 5k

I'm using 5W-20 in my '96 3.8L windstar.....it has just over 193K miles on it......also running great.
FORD issued a TSB that updates the original 5W-30 recommendation to 5W-20.
I am in Wisconsin......a bit cold lately, so the lighter oil is good up here..
Either one, or what you are using will be just fine.
The Motorcraft filter and Max Life oil are well respected on this site.
Your routine has been working great, and it is normal for most oils to get dark during the Oil Change Interval.

Keep the tranny fluid changed AT LEAST every 30K miles.
FORD TSB updated......Mercon or Mercon V can be used....Mercon V is a better fluid. Mobil 1 ATF is easy to find, and a great product.
If your power steering gets noisy, change out the power steering fluid (Use Type F ATF).....common cause for noisy power steering....and cheaper & easier than a pump.

As for possible head gasket leaks, keep an eye on the coolant....if you have to start adding coolant....investigate where the coolant may be going.
A real good look at the hoses would be a good idea......including the heater hoses....and the "bypass hose".
I would recommend adding some Bar's brand of Stop Leak to the radiator.....to catch leaks at the seapage stage.
It would be a good thing to add during a coolant change.

My 1996 owner's manual has the Type F ATF listed for the power steering......at least that is what their specification numbers convert to.
E6AZ-19582-AA
or FORD specification M2C33F
