Using up all the 2002 GC I have will just put off me using some of the newer 03 and 04 stuff that I also still have and was willing to sell to a BitOGer. I figure I'll get the best price just returning it to AZ. Any reciepts I have are ancient, so figure for a case of oil, the store will not have a problem returning it....for credit....Mobil 1 whatever. I have a GC box and all the bottles are clean and full...of GC (wink). Nobody cares about date codes but us. M02...meh.

PS the thing is that I determined can really only use one case of GC a year, in mid-summer. This is rather than 2 cases of GC over spring/summer/fall and thinner Mobil 1 once over winter. Now, I'll do the opposite. I can't see using GC except Jun-July-Aug-Sept. Hottest time of the year is July 20 and coldest Jan 20. I'll center a 3x a year scheme on one of those points. I would rather not do an OC on the coldest day of the year, but that's how things worked out. GC is a bit too thick for my Acura off-season.

Mobil 1 0w-30 is my winter oil. I want to get one GC run in a year, and summer seems like the time.

thus the problem with stocking up on motor oil, after a few years, better and newer comes out.

As I said, if I use up the cases and cases of older M02 stuff myself, it will delay using the "newer" M03 and M04 stuff for quite a time. That is to say, I have more than year of M02, so using that makes the year-newer stuff even older than the M02 is now, sort of a paradox. What I had offered for sale was M03 anyway, not trying to pawn the M02 stuff off on a BitOGer, I'll gladly use the ones I have myself. Shelf-life was not the point of this post anyway, just that it seemed natural to return the oldest stuff since my use pattern had changed so much.
