My brother’s YL was bred from two champion bird dogs in Virginia. At 8 weeks my brother got him, so it could not have been learned behavior. That dog NEVER went #2 in the yard itself… he always found a bush or plant along the fence line and backed up tail first and did his doodie where it was neither seen nor stepped in. He certainly wasn’t the landscaper’s favorite, though!!
