I'd expect it to last longer than that. Can't really see it lasting more than a dozen uses though.Thank you. Was thinking I would change every two to three oil changes.
Read your manual.While we’re at it….oil recommendations??
Plastic obviouslyWhat's the oil pan itself made out of?
Which is why my company has me or one of our PM techs on daylight do these vehicles. We don’t use Firestone, Midas or Iffy Lube much or at allAll I can see as a benefit of using plastic bolt on a plastic pan is that Jiffy lube techs might not use an impact gun for tightening? And if the dufus does, then the bolt head twists off and he or she knows they created a problem. Assumes they care. I know that might be too much.
Plastic obviously
Wonderful response. I was looking for real world insight and brand recommendations. I’m very capable of reading the manual, and have. Thanks again for the insight.Read your manual.
Dexos 1 gen 3 is fine. Any 5w-30 with it will be good. QSFS 5w-30 has it and it's pretty good. While we’re at it….oil recommendations??
Dunno, which is why my work I use a liftThat's what I suspected. How is that going to support a floor jack if you need to change an engine mount?
Thanks. Manual specs 0w20 but thinking of stepping up to a dexos 5w30.Dexos 1 gen 3 is fine. Any 5w-30 with it will be good. QSFS 5w-30 has it and it's pretty good.
For a turbo engine I'd step up. Nothing would get hurt. If it was a big slower spinning torquey V8 like my 6.2 then a 20 grade is ok. Still might bump to a 30 after using up the last remaining 0w-20 i have, engine should be at least half way to fully breaking in by then.Thanks.
