This article claims GM will buyback some 6.6L Duramax trucks because of "quality issues", but the author goes on the claim that the lack of a fuel lift pump is causing the problems. This doesn't make sense, because all 6.6L Duramax trucks since the L5P started production in 2017 have the Denso high pressure pump and are equipped with a lift pump in the tank. Unless they are buying back pre-2017 trucks, but I find that to be highly unlikely.
