Part Number 12345982. It's the oil in the superchargers on 3800SC engines and others. I would also assume this oil would be used on the new Cobalt SS and Ion Redline, unless they get their lubrication from engine oil. It comes in a 4.5oz serving and is about $5 a bottle.

What is it? What weight? Is it synthetic or dino? Googled it and found lots of references to it but no specifications or anything.

I'm thinking of buying a '93 Bonneville SSEi with the 3800SC and I want to know exactly what I'd be putting in it.

Well seeing how it is good for 30,000 miles and is the oil specified by GM for this application I would not worry about it. No one has ever come up with an alternative that they know for sure will work in the application for 30,000 miles for $5 a bottle. A lot of us would like to know if ever you find out for sure. Eaton is the maker of the super chargers on the 3.8 you might try them. I am sure it is a lube they specify.

Just run that super oil Part Number 12345982 and you'll be fine, thats all peolpe use.

don't sub it for anything else,it's a special oil.

thats what i run in my '95 SSEI,change it every 20-30K..

I'll promise you one thing, it is some of the nastiest smelling sh*t you'll ever put into a car. Guess it works though.
